Solid Surface Under Rounding Bit

A Solid Surface Under Rounding Bit is a router bit used to create a rounded, or "bullnose," edge on the underside of a solid surface countertop, especially for applications like undermount sinks. It provides a smooth, decorative finish and helps to provide a seamless transition when installing integrated bowls, using a non-marring bearing to protect the finished edges. 
Primary uses:
  • Creating bullnose edges:
    The primary function is to round the bottom corner of a solid surface countertop edge. 
  • Undermount sink installation:
    It's ideal for finishing the edge of a solid surface countertop where an integrated sink bowl is installed, creating a clean, smooth, and rounded transition. 
  • Decorative finishes:
    The bit adds a tactile and decorative detail to the underside of a piece, enhancing the overall aesthetic.
